PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Heritage Park Remaster project is designed to enhance recreational opportunities, improve accessibility, and provide amenities that serve residents for years to come.

Heritage Park Building Survey
The City is seeking community input on rental expectations for the new park building at Heritage Park. This survey will help guide future rental policies, including topics such as rental availability, staffing, rental duration, and overall building use expectations. Community feedback will play an important role in balancing accessibility, affordability, and long-term sustainability for the facility. Residents are encouraged to take a few minutes to complete the survey and share their input.

Park Access
As construction progresses, access within Heritage Park will continue to change throughout the season.
The eastern portion of the park remains open for public use while construction activities continue on the western side of the park. For the safety of park users and construction crews, visitors are asked to remain within designated open areas and follow all posted signage and barriers.
As construction nears completion, some areas may periodically remain closed while newly completed spaces are established. This includes areas that have been hydroseeded or recently landscaped. These temporary closures help protect new turf and landscaping so they can become fully established and ready for public use. We appreciate the community's patience and cooperation as work continues to transform Heritage Park.

Construction on the Heritage Park remaster began in July 2025 and has progressed through several phases over the past year. Major infrastructure improvements, utility work, site preparation, building construction, and playground installation have all occurred as part of the project.

PROJECT FINANCING AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT
The Heritage Park Remaster is funded through the City's Park Dedication Fund.
Park Dedication funds are collected from new developments and are specifically reserved for park and trail improvements. These funds help ensure that growth contributes to the expansion and enhancement of community parks and recreational facilities.
With the project funded through Park Dedication revenues, it is not funded through the City's General Fund or annual property tax levy. State law limits how park dedication funds may be used, ensuring they are invested directly into park improvements that benefit the community.
