Council

Council Chamber PhotoCorcoran is a community legally established under the laws of Minnesota. It is governed by a Mayor who serves a four-year term and four Council members who serve four-year terms. City council members serve at large.

The City Council meets at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Thursday of the month in the Council Chambers at Corcoran City Hall.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

Before Meetings: Emailed comments will be accepted prior to the scheduled meeting and must be submitted by 4 p.m. the Wednesday prior to the scheduled Council Meeting. If the meeting does not fall on a Thursday, comments must be received by 4 p.m. the day prior to the scheduled meeting. Please submit public comments via email to City Clerk, Deb Johnson, at [email protected].

Day Of Protocols: For those who wish to provide public comments at the scheduled Council Meeting, please see instructions below on how to participate during Open Forum:

Public comment cards will be available in the Council Chambers prior to the start of each meeting. Please fill out a card with your name, address, and comment, and turn into the City Clerk before the meeting starts. Staff will then call you up to the podium to speak during the scheduled Open Forum. You will then be able to share your public comments with the Council at this time. Please note, speaking time will be limited to five minutes.

The City Council has selected the Crow River News to be the official newspaper for the City of Corcoran, which will contain all legal posting notices from the City.
