Rental Dwelling Information
A rental license is required for any dwelling that is not owner-occupied and for homes that are owner-occupied but rent out multiple bedrooms to unrelated parties. Fees are based on the dwelling type and the number of units. 

Fees
The 2023 Rental Dwelling License Fee Schedule is located on page 5 of the Rental License ApplicationFees are based on the dwelling type and the number of units. Rental licenses expire June 30 each year and are valid annually for a 1-year period beginning on July 1 each year. 

Single-family homes, twin-homes, and townhomes license fee is $100.00 per unit and a $100.00 conversion fee.

Apartment license fee is $200 plus an additional $75 per unit. 

Inspections
Review Chapter 87 of City Code prior to scheduling your property inspection. It is the responsibility of the property owner and the property manager to ensure the property complies with the property maintenance code. Failure to comply with this could result in license denial or license revocation.

2023 Rental Dwelling License Application
When submitting your application, please indicate your three preferred dates and times for property inspections, and staff will try to schedule an inspection on one of the preferred days.
