DNR Water Restrictions

Drought in Minnesota
Posted on 07/23/2021
Drought Level Map ImageThe DNR has activated the State Drought Plan requiring water suppliers to restrict uses of water considered non-essential. The City of Corcoran purchases water from Maple Grove, who has implemented a prohibition of outdoor lawn watering between the hours of 10:00 am and 6:00 pm on all days. At other times, water customers must follow odd-even schedule for outdoor lawn watering. The City of Corcoran is requesting that all Corcoran residents follow these guidelines in support of the State Drought Plan.

Homeowners and businesses with addresses ending in an odd number may water on odd numbered calendar days. Those with addresses ending in an even number, may water on even numbered days. The restrictions apply to all city water customers and will be effective until further notice. Automatic irrigation systems should be adjusted accordingly. Residents are urged to reduce water usage such as vehicle washing and other nonessential purposes
