Overview
The "Northeast Water Treatment Facility" is a City-initiated request for the approval of a site plan and variances to construct a water treatment plant on the property located at 10120 County Road 116. Water is currently provided to the Northeast District of the city from Maple Grove.
The current architecture plans show a prominently brick building with both a flat roof and a gabled roof. The application includes both a two cell and potential three cell facility which will be bid as an alternate bid to the water treatment project.
This facility is being designed and constructed on behalf of the City of Corcoran with the intention of being bid in the fall of 2022 and being operational by the end of 2024.
Variance Request
A variance has been requested to allow an accessory structure in the front yard of the plant. The accessory structure will be used to protect the production well. The requirement for accessory structures in residential districts restricts the placement to the side or rear yards.
