Corcoran's Finance Department is responsible for the day-to-day financial activities for the city. The department ensures compliance with state and federal laws, the city charter, code of ordinances, and operates under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The city follows a January 1 through December 31 fiscal calendar. The Finance Department has an integral role in the long-term planning of the city through detailed financial and trend analysis. The department is responsible for the following functions:
